About us
The Avenues Youth Project is a high-quality youth centre in West London, providing a range of free activities and food for over 1,000 children and young people each year.
Our team of experienced youth professionals provides a safe, caring, youth-led space where young people can socialise, learn skills and be steered to make positive life choices.
After-school, weekend and holiday programmes take place 6 days a week, 48 weeks a year in our purpose-built youth centre in North Westminster. Activities include sport, healthy cooking, music production, art, dance, radio, skills development and career pathways. We provide over 18,000 meals to young people each year to combat not just holiday hunger but everyday hunger.
Young people are encouraged to become volunteers, participate in social action, train as junior youth workers and use their voices to share their ideas, opinions and needs, which in turn helps us shape the youth programmes.
We are committed to the highest quality of youth work and we hold the Gold Level London Youth Quality Mark, the badge of excellence for our sector.
The local authority contributes around 14% of our running costs, and we have to raise the other 86% each year, through grant applications, fundraising and donations. We need your help to continue this service - please be as generous as you can.
